We have chosen a different author for each month. We would love for you to choose your favorite book by that author to share with your children or class and create a fun activity that goes along with the book. Tomie dePaola is my favorite on the list. We have a beautiful Nativity book by him....my kids like Strega Nona the best though.
I am so excited to only recognize two of these authors. We have already discovered three wonderful authors that we hadn't read before through this book club. Thank you, and I look forward to seeing all the wonderful activities everyone does!
This will be a great addition to our "curriculum" this year as my girls Love books! Now we need to head to the bookstore and find our first club book!
Such and awesome idea! Are you familiar with Barefoot Books www.love2readbarefoot.com? I'd love to introduce you to some that you could feature on your blog! You can email me directly at love2readbarefoot.com. Can't wait to follow along with my boys!
I have always loved Jan Brett for her wonderful illustrations and the authenticity of her drawings. And of course Gail Gibbons has such wonderful non-fiction books that children and teachers love to read together.
I love that you scheduled the whole year - thanks for hosting!

This will help me in learning about children's authors. I'm excited.
Is there a place to grab the html for the button? I've got my first post ready to go, but want to make sure to have the button in it. So excited to share!

Thank you for your comments! I love hearing from the readers of my blog. It makes my day! I have recently had a lot of inappropriate spam that has snuck through, so I am turning on the moderation of comments for a short time, to see if it helps. I am so sorry for any inconvience this may cause, but I want to remain a family friendly blog. -Danielle @Mommy and Me Book Club
